- Tiki is a cross-border money transfer app built for the African diaspora. It lets you send money from the UK and Canada to Nigeria and The Gambia at the real exchange rate, with no transfer fee and no spread hidden in the conversion.
- Who can use Tiki?
- Anyone aged 18 or over who is resident in a market we serve. Today that means the United Kingdom, Canada and Nigeria. You will need a valid government ID and proof of address to complete verification.
- How do I create an account?
- Download Tiki from the App Store or Google Play, enter your phone number, and complete a short ID check. Most people are verified in under two minutes and can send their first transfer straight away.
- Is Tiki safe?
- Yes. Tiki is operated by AfrikMoney Limited, registered by the FCA as a Small Payments Institution in the UK, and is part of CapitalSage Vantage Limited, which is licensed by the CBN in Nigeria, the CBG in The Gambia, and registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business in Canada. Customer funds are safeguarded and never used for lending.
- How long does a transfer take?
- Most transfers to Nigeria and The Gambia arrive within five minutes. Bank payouts made outside local banking hours can take slightly longer, and you will see an estimated arrival time before you confirm.
- What does Tiki charge?
- There is no transfer fee. The rate you see on the calculator is the rate your family receives — Tiki does not add a markup to the conversion.
