Chimoney Weekly Changelog

In the past week, we focused on enhancing user experience and adding new features. Additionally, we wrote new articles and guides, covering INTERAC™ bulk payments, API solutions for global payouts, and integrating Chimoney multicurrency wallets.

Product updates

New Features

• OTP for Payouts: To enhance security, users are now required to verify their identity with an OTP before initiating payouts.
• Community Page: Users can now join the communities listed on the Community page, gaining exclusive access and benefits as members.

Enhancements

• Improved Payment Requests: We improved the handling of payment requests and included support for sub-accounts.

• Multi-currency support: We’ve added multi-currency support to airtime, bank, and mobile money payouts.

• Sub-accounts Payments: Users are now able to initiate payments via sub-accounts.

• Email Notifications: Users will now get email notifications for new Chimoney balance top-ups.

• RedeemToInterac: Input fields for the recipient's email address and full name have been added when redeeming to Interac.

• RedeemToInterledgerWallet: We've added an input field for entering the Interledger wallet address.

API Updates

• Enhanced Swagger Documentation: Descriptions for the subAccount and amountToSend fields have been added to the request body of the POST /multicurrency-transfer endpoint in our Swagger documentation here.

• Sub-Account Support for Multi-Currency Payouts: We have updated the docs, and now inputting the sub-account ID in the sender field of body params allows you to send payouts.

• Bank Payouts Update: Bank payouts/transfers to all countries (except Nigeria) now require a bank_code parameter when adding bank details. See update here.

• New Endpoint Additions:

  • Create a Sub-Account Community Associated with a User: Users can now effortlessly create a new community sub-account linked to their profile. View update

  • Update a Sub-Account Community Associated with a User: This update allows users to modify their community details, including community ID, membership ID, and member name. View update

  • Payout Interac: We have updated the payouts section on the API documentation with the Payout Interac endpoint to allow Interac Payouts. Access here.

  • Multi-currency Wallets: This new addition includes various multi-currency endpoints i.e. creating a new multi-currency wallet and transferring between multi-currency wallets. Access here.
