Does Tiki Share My Personal Information?

Information about our users is an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling our users' personal information to others. Tiki shares users' personal information only as described below and with the subsidiaries or affiliates of Tiki that are either subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

Third party service providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include analysing data, providing marketing assistance, processing payments, transmitting content, and assessing and managing credit risk. These third-party service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and as only permitted by applicable data protection laws.

Business transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy other businesses or services. In such transactions, user information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the user consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that Tiki or substantially all of its assets are acquired, user information will be one of the transferred assets.

Protection of Tiki and others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law or with our regulatory obligations; enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of Tiki, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

International transfers of personal data

Tiki may transfer your data outside of the United Kingdom and Canada respectively. Tiki puts in place suitable safeguards to ensure that such transfer is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection rules, except where the country to which the data is transferred has already been determined by local regulations peculiar to the specific data controllers to provide an adequate level of protection.

Where Tiki transfers personal data to affiliates or service providers, Tiki relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

We design our systems with your security and privacy in mind. We work to protect the security of your personal information during transmission by using encryption protocols and software.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of your personal information. Our security procedures mean that we may ask you to verify your identity before we disclose personal information to you.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your account password. We recommend using a unique password for your Tiki account that is not utilised for other online accounts. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

What About Advertising?

We may share your personal information with our marketing partners for the purposes of targeting, modelling, and/or analytics as well as marketing and advertising.

When you consent to our processing your personal information for a specified purpose, you may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop any further processing of your data for that purpose.

In addition, subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to, correct, and delete your personal data, and to ask for data portability. Your rights in connection with personal information

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a "data subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).

Object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.

Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.

Request the transfer of your personal information to another party.

If you want to review, verify, correct or request erasure of your personal information, object to the processing of your personal data, or request that we transfer a copy of your personal information to another party, please contact our Data Protection Officer at support@tikibycapitalsage.com in writing.

No fee usually required

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.

What we may need from you

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

Conditions of Use, Notices and Revisions

If you choose to use Tiki Services, your use and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice and our Terms of Use. If you have any concerns about privacy at Tiki, please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it. You also have the right to contact your local Data Protection Authority.

Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Notice will change also. You should check our websites frequently to see recent changes. If you do not agree with the revised content, you shall stop accessing Tiki immediately. When an updated version of the Privacy Policy is released, your continued access to Tiki means that you agree to the updated content and agree to abide by the updated Privacy Policy. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
